The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

So, my wife and I were freshly off a cruise ship and had a day before our flight home. Where should we go? Disney! Where should we stay? The Grand Floridian! That is correct. We were actually able to get into the GF for a night and we felt like we were the upper crust for an evening. We've always wanted to stay, so we decided to try and, using our DVC points, were able to make it happen. After all, who has $600+ to spend for a night at a hotel? Not me! Anyway, when we get there, the bellman was cool and pointed us to where the villas were and we talked with the Cast Members at reception. They told us our room wasn't ready, but our bags could be held. No problem, as it was 10 in the morning. We jumped over to the monorail (it was just right there) and went to the Magic Kingdom. Got the notification our room was ready and, a few hours later, came back because it is summer is Florida and hot as hell. Plus, the park was crowded and we were kind of miserable. However, the room was fantastic! We walked in and noticed the bathroom had two entrances and two showers. What?!? The room itself was spacious and the view of the lake was really quite nice. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were amazing (wife's words, not mine). We also had a view of the fireworks from our balcony, so that was fun. Overall, if we could stay there again, we would. We didn't really use any of the services there, as we were only there for a night. Next time we stay, we may have to try the spa or the pool.

It’s hard to beat a stay at The Villas at Grand Floridian! The grand Floridian is an amazing resort with tons of amenities, the monorail, and walking distance to Magic Kingdom! The villas just adds to that as their rooms are some of the most nicely appointed rooms you’ll ever stay in along with being in a quieter section of the resort and within walking distance to all the great Shops and restaurants at the Polynesian as well.

The Grand Floridian is a great place to stay. Friendly people, clean rooms, and a great location on the monorail. The only complaint would be the food at the Gasparilla Island Grill. It was just not good at all. The same food items from the pools, other resorts, and the parks were terrific. Even room service was wonderful. Not sure why the food at the Gasparilla was so bad, but that would be the ONLY complaint. Everything else was absolutely amazing.

Room was beautiful and updated. We stayed on the 1sr floor which was amazing after a park day.

The Grand Floridian is by far my favorite of all the Disney hotels. It's Victorian style gives it a lot of charm. Already, the hotel staff is super smiley and helpful. Every month you have different activities that can be done at the hotel with the "recreation" department. Painting, crafts, tie dye, etc. What's better than having a full schedule during a rainy day. the boutiques of the greater Floridian are also filled with unique items from their collection; loungefly backpack, handbag, wallet, silk scarf, etc. This is the only hotel that I can say has a "collection" in their name.

This is the most beautiful hotel in Disney if you’re able to stay here, it will ruin you. You won’t be able to enjoy the other hotels the way you did before this is the most organized wide open space non-crowded hotel in Disney. I think if Jesus came down from heaven on vacation in Orlando, he would want to stay at the grand Floridian.

Very nice resort and rooms are excellent. Similar to the Riviera layouts and size. Had a great experience at this resort and plenty to see do, eat and drink. Very busy resort but spacious enough that it doesn't feel too crowded. Accessibility to the monorail gives you great options to visit other resorts the monorails stop at, so it basically expands you're area.

Great views of fireworks and water electric parade! Could use a food hall.
